porcelain or sometimes a combination of both.
Though crowns can be used to improve
the apperance of a tooth they are not primarily cosmetic
devices. They are usually recommended by dentists
to protect and stregthen weakened teeth. This technique
involves reshaping the damaged or discoloured tooth,
and some impressions, the impressions are then sent
to a dental laboratory where the crowns are produced.
