Also known as caps, this technique is used to cover damaged or discoloured teeth. They are usually made of gold, porcelain or sometimes a combination of both.

Though crowns can be used to improve the apperance of a tooth they are not primarily cosmetic devices. They are usually recommended by dentists to protect and stregthen weakened teeth. This technique involves reshaping the damaged or discoloured tooth, and some impressions, the impressions are then sent to a dental laboratory where the crowns are produced. This process can take upto two weeks.
