Healthy gums means a healthy
smile and we encourage our patients to have regular
maintenance visits with one of our hygienists.
A dental hygienists main role is to
professionally clean the teeth for the patient, and
assist in the prevention and treatment of gum disease.
They will give instructions on how to keep your teeth
free of plaque which can lead to dental caries and
gum disease when not removed properly. Our hygienists
work closely with our dentists to provide care tailored
to your needs.
A visit lasts approximately
30 minutes, of which the hygienist will spend scaling
and polishing removing deposits and staining and advising
you on the best oral hygiene regime for you to use
at home!
